THE HISTORY OF MY DOMESTICATION and TERRIBLE GIRLS (WHO ARE NOT REALLY TERRIBLE)
Feb 18-20, 2009
by Miranda Huba.
An evening of work dedicated to the inner teenager. How did we survive those years? Even though it seems that the world is made for teenage girls there is an isolating and distancing process that happens as young women struggle to make real connections in a world obsessed with them. In The History of My Domestication and Terrible Girls innocence has left the stage and we look back at those beautifully dramatic and sometimes traumatic formative years.
"Speaking through her terrible girls, Huba captures a credible teenage voice,
complete with deadpan humour." (Colin Thomas, The Georgia Straight)
